KidsReads 2010 Launch Party
Sunday, March 21, from 1 - 3pm - Blackhawk Plaza Rotunda and read. bookstore

Kick-off KidsReads 2010 with a special celebration at the Blackhawk Plaza Rotunda and read. bookstore! Everybody is invited to this free and extraordinary event featuring thrilling performers, fun games and crafts, a challenging scavenger hunt, many exciting prizes and delicious refreshments indoors and out! Find out more about this year's featured KidsReads book and author, Megan McDonald, of the popular children's series Judy Moody.

A portion of sales at read. bookstore will benefit the Danville, San Ramon and Dougherty Station Libraries. Co-sponsored by the Blackhawk Plaza, read. bookstore, Draeger's, Friends of the Danville Library and San Ramon Library Foundation.

Blackhawk Spring Celebration, Sandi and Steve
Saturday, March 27th: 11am-1pm - The Playground

A fun-filled day of kids crafts, entertainment, balloon animals, and special characters including the Calico Critters, and a special Insect Songs performance from Sandi and Stevie!
Sandi & Stevie are children’s songwriters and performers and are the writers of the creature-friendly CD, Insect Songs. With a combination of humor, fantasy and reality, Sandi & Stevie help teach children about the habits of our little insect friends while encouraging us all to live in harmony with them.

The environmentally-conscious duo perform their Insect Songs in fun-filled, educational, concerts at private and public events around the Bay Area. By applying high-energy motor skills interaction with the children, Sandi & Stevie meet several measures of the Desired Results Developmental Profiles (DRDP) designed by the California Department of Education.

Featured on Evening Magazine and View From The Bay, Sandi & Stevie have twice been selected Best Children’s Entertainers by Diablo magazine, and Family Favorite by Bay Area Parent Magazine.
